do a search for it, I think there was a thread about it a while back, also there is an older issue of Sport Compact Car that details how to switch a subaru to RWD.

all you need is STi locked center diff, or welt your viscous center diff

expect broken rear axles

don't know why you would want to do the conversion in the first place, I mean, isn't one of the main reasons to get a subie is for the AWD?
