auto->STi manual?
I have just recentely aquired enough money (saving for almost a year) to finally do the engine swap I want.
When I bought my car it 2 years ago, I wasn't into racing nearly as much as I was then, so I bought an auto.
I know, it sucks.
Well I am picking up an STi VI complete (motor, tranny, sensors, wiring harness, ecu, all that crap).
My question is what else do I need to get to do a complete auto to manual swap? Is there anyone here who has done it before? Any sites that show what needs to be done?
*background on the car... Its a 2001 Impreza 2.5RS, the motor and tranny is an 2000 STi VI*
Thanks in advance for your help guys, I think I may start posting on here again.

Pedal assy.
Shifter trim
Gauge cluster if you want to
probably need change the neutral saftey start wires to clutch inhibit. Or just jump it so that you can start with out pushing the clutch.
also wires for reverse lights.
good luck

One guy here in michigan got his STi Ver2 or 3 conversion done at Lachute Subaru somewhere in canada. He told me it cost him about $10K USD total!
But I rode in it (it was a wagon) and that car was awesome! and it was just stock! Hmmm... I think I will have to go that route if I can't get a good deal on a '04 WRX. I'll have to pass on the new STI though...Too much money..but so worth it.
Besides.. I love the GC8 style.
