www.gimmiegears.com sells upgraded gearsets for the WRX for $3300. You can read about them in the latest issue of Turbo magazine. I'm sure it's not as good as the STi, but it's alot cheaper and better than stock. I think some rally cars use their gears.

Screw that! I did my 6 speed tranny for $4000. I will never have to worry about Subaru's POS weak gearbox design ever again!

where did u get the 6spd tranny at? how much did it cost for installation along with all the necessary parts?? thanks

You still need to purchase the 6spd tranny in addition to the conversion kit so you're looking more at $8100 for a base 6spd plus labor.
