2.5 RS AWD clarifications?...
2.5 RS AWD clarifications?...
just curious about something...
in a 02-03 2.5RS; with a manual tranny; when neither end's slipping the power's split 50f/50r right?
Then when slip happens, the diff fluid thickens, sending power to the non-slipping end... Does anyone know what the max percentage of power is that can be sent exclusively to the front or back axels?

Yes, all 5MTs are 50/50 when there's no slipping. If you go to Subaru's homepage and click on "Understanding Subaru All-Wheel Drive" and then "View All-Wheel Drive Specs" and view the drivetrain, they have a good explanation. It doesn't say how far it will go, but the new Sti with DCCD will allow you to manually go up to 65% in one direction, if that's any indication (but probably not).
