1995 legacy 2.2 tranny swap question!!
So I have a 1995 legacy wagon 2.2, its pretty plain as day that my tranny is going out. Goes into 4th but pops out on acceleration. It also goes into 3rd and is fine when accelerating but as soon as I let off it pops out.

My question is. would a 1999 2.5rs tranny or any impreza tranny fit? If so what else would I need in order to get it to work?

The transmission front diff ratio must equal that of the rear diff.
ANY trans will bolt up to your engine.

@paul, So if i'm swapping trannys, I'd also be swapping diffs. Would I also need the axles?
