i just went 8.1 sunday in the 1/8 which equates to around a 12.60 or so, just wondering how that stands!

I think an 8.1 sec 1/8 mile is closer to 12.8s.........
I ran a few 8.0 sec 1/8 mile runs - 12.65s
and mustve run 7.9x 1/8 mile run when I hit 12.59....

yeah i was out there sunday in the white sti.
on every car i have owned (and i have owned alot) the formula has worked. a turbo car should trap 22-27 mph after the 1/8. i guess it depends on the setup but i am confident that i will run in the 12.6x's at the track, i left a lot on the table with that run (wet tires, no speed shifting etc etc). and HMP is not particularly sticky. if i run a 8.1 and only get a 12.8, the car is hitting a brick wall after the 1/8 and would only trap 20mph!! an all motor honda will gain 20mph after the 1/8!!

Another reason might just be that our racetrack's mph trap speed reads 2-3mph slower than it should! there are 3 lines at the finish, 1- speed sensor (start), 2 - E.T. sensor, 3 - speed sensor (end). trap speed is the average speed between the 1st and 3rd line, problem is that the 3rd sensor is broken, so they use the second as the end for the speed sensor. Someone needs to recalibrate the stuff! So, my trap speed should read 109-110mph!
