Infineon Wednesday Night Drags 03/09 - 2011 WRX

Here are my two best runs:

R/T -- .826
60' -- 1.894
330' -- 5.464
1/8 -- 8.479
MPH -- 82.22
1000' -- 11.032
1/4 -- 13.206
MPH -- 102.93

R/T -- .634
60' -- 1.898
330' -- 5.563
1/8 -- 8.597
MPH -- 81.88
1000' -- 11.149
1/4 -- 13.321
MPH - 103.34

Cliffs:
First time launching with AWD and I was bogging like crazy.
I know I should be hitting 12"s with the kind of trap speed I'm getting

Mods:
Cobb Stage 2
Perrin Catted DP
Magnaflow STi CBE
AEM Intake
TurboXS Hybrid BOV
Enkei RPF1 Gold 17x8 +45mm
Dunlop SP Sport 235/45/17 (Stock)

-------

03/30/11 Update

I am confused as hell with my best time slip

R/T -- .387
60' -- 1.759
330' -- 5.326
1/8 -- 8.361
MPH -- 82.10
1000' -- 10.930
1/4 -- 13.152
MPH -- 101.75

So everything improves but the trap speed. Was never able to hit 12's at the track. Couldn't trap any better than 101mph.

Data log seems to be fine. What the hell am I doing wrong?

Not bad for your first time. It takes a bit of practice to learn how to launch with AWD. Slipping the clutch a little gets you out of the hole faster, but can be hard on your clutch. I posted almost identical times my first time with similar mods.

No launch control on the Cobb APv2. Wasn't really sure what RPM to launch at. Just kinda had to figure it out on the fly. I only seen one other Scoobie over there, probably someone from the board. He had a fully built STi motor on an 06 WRX but wasn't really connecting at launch all night.

^ No, sir. LC is visible in the menu but it's not enabled. Cobb says it's still a work in progress. I wish I had launch control tho. Would've gotten better 60' times.

Nice, we should get some people together and meet up out there! I have always wanted to go and try to launch my STi! Never been to the track myself so you wont feel left out ....... LC is not the best for your motor, I'm guessing you got money saved for new motor? I have heard bad things about LC so I'm staying away from it. Should make a thread about Wensdays Night at sears point meets!

^ Where did you hear that LC is bad for your motor? Please state your source. I know it washes out your pistons and you may have to change your oil a little bit sooner but that's about it. Either way, it's one of those things where you gotta pay to play when you're doing any type of performance driving.

I'd be down for a Wednesday night meet at the track. I actually thought about posting one up 2 days ago, but didn't think a lot of people were ready in general. Not a lot of cars showed up at the track last night.

Hmm, I guess if you think LC is ok have at it! I don't think its great to dry rev a car like that, you think it is ok? It's not going to blow your motor, it's going to make your motor crap alot faster.
