First time at the track...not to bad
Wow I was surprised the car went that fast. Just wanted to let every one here know.
This was my first time at the track with this car by the way.
Runs are as follows:
14.33 at 94 2.1 60 ft.
13.97 at 96 2.0 60 ft.
13.82 at 96 1.9 60 ft.
I know I can bring down the 60 ft more if I dump nstead of the slip then dump that I was doing, but thats hard on the car. The only mods I got are:
Turboxs BOV
Xs engineering CAI
Boost set at 15.5

Yea that was me, lol.. After I ran the 14.2 I dialed that in and messed it up with a nice launch ... broke my time w/ a 14.11 and had even let off the throttle b/c I knew I was moving too quick.... which means I CAN go FASTER!! But still, I lost... oh well, practice makes perfect!!
My times for my last two runs were:
R/T .508
60' 2.107
1/4 14.27 @ 95.81
R/T .510
60' 2.019
1/4 14.11 @ 92.94
Good job w/ the 14.5!! That's better than what I did stock!! See you soon!

Yeah these runs were at e-town. WRacergirlX i talked to you there. How weird is it that you are on these boards. Its really cool to see you here. Anyway I (The guy who said that I saw you run last year with a 14.8)was with my friend (the guy you said you saw run a 13.0 last year) Hasan aka Hassasin on this board.
I saw you break out that last run. I broke out too but I was just happy to go that fast.
I did talk to a lot of WRX owners there a might of spoken to some of you, but hopefully I will see everyone there again. Especially you WRacergirlX, its nice to see a girl racing there for a change. Keep up the good work and yes turning up the boost will net you some better times along with a higher trap speed.

I will break into the 13's sometime this week at E-town..
When is the track open for time trials anyways? I have to check into that.
I was caught in a bind on Saturday I didn't know what to do. It was my first time bracket racing so it was a good learning experience. It's kinda cool I broke my time, but I could have been going a lot faster, or just slightly slower to win the bracket.. anywho..
Since you guys are running mid-low 13's I have a question for you: What is the best RPM to shift into 4th to maintain the powerband? Last year I wasn't even close to redlining 3rd by the end of the track. This year I hit rev-limiter in 3rd w/ the 14.2 @96mph.. oops.. I wasn't expecting that to happen. I'm learning!!
And the TurboXS exhaust has given at least 30WHP, I haven't dynoed it but the times on the track are quite revealing.
Lastly I just wanted to say thanks to the guys who took a little time out to talk to me about their cars. Many don't take me seriously and it's really something when a guy doesn't mind answering 100 questions from an amature 'tuner' like myself. I really do appreciate it.
See you soon!!

yeah, i would like to be mid to high 13s by the end of the summer, hopefully by the 23rd i will have a turboback and run maybe low 14s???? maybe im being too optimistic, lol
then i wanna get a vishnu stage zero mapped for a stage 1 w/ silicon hoses and and hopefully maybe run a mid/high 13
much faster than i ever would have went if i kept the civic, lol
good luck running the 13, im sure you can do it with the right launch, shift points, and weather.... try popping your hood before you line up, my underhood temps were hitting 130 plus, and by just opening my hood it would shoot down to about 80-90 degrees, i dont know how much of a time diff that would make..
but it definetly cant hurt
keep us updated

Hey guys! I'm kinda new to this WRX stuff, but these cars are f-a-s-t. The reason I signed up was to chat sometimes and now it seems that I go to the same track as some of you guys: ENGLISHTOWN!
I must say that I was really impressed with a silver WRX on Saturday at the Importvs. Detroit Muscle Shootout. I so think that they should have called it the Import vs. Import Shootout. That's all I saw.
I don't remember seeing You there Porkchop or WRacergirlX. I was a spectator myself. That rarely happens cause I race most of the time. I'm the big guy with the IMP.
