Evo vs. STI Meet Englishtown N.J
Yesterday Englishtown Raceway Park in N.J held thier first Evo vs. STI and WRX meet, it was fun and there was a very good showing but sad to say Subaru got its a$$ kicked by the Evo's in almost every race, I think a lot of Subaru fans switched over to mitshubishi after seeing the Subaru's get spanked all day long.

there were a few WRX's that represented well with mid 11 times, but they still coulndn't compete with the mid-low 10 times of the Evo's. Im not saying that the Evo's are a better car but they definetly came to the track with some serious cars yesterday.

Car Info: Evolution VIII
The fact is, EVO is easier to make power with its 4g63 motor, while the new EJ25T is still new and unproven. Altho it has bigger displacement, however I think the potential of the U.S Spec STi engine is limited. Subaru of America needs to go back to drawing boards and take some drastic actions about this.

[QUOTE=jroman836]The saddest part was watching the very poor driving skills of the Suby owners. Bad launch after bad launch followed by slow shifting. How can a STi run 15's ?!?[/Q
LOL, yes very true , the subaru drivers shifted like they were on the highway 90% of the time.

All engines are "limited". I think that you are having a "Chicken Little" attitude while comparing an engine that has been in the market for 10+ years and an engine that has been out 15 months.

Just adding fuel to the fire...
I was at Rockingham, NC and a couple EVOs were running low 12s @ 110mph+.
It's a shame that you've got to upgrade the turbo to make those kinds of numbers.
I like how they get sideways when they launch too.
Nothing ever seems to be fast enough for me!
