11's with a VF-34 ?
Hey guys,
I am trying to get in the 11's with my wrx. So far it has (drivetrain wise)
-**ACT Street Clutch
-Autospeed Performance Lightened Crank Pulley
-Borla Hush Catback (resonator removed, 3 inch
adapter)
-Bridgestone Turanza ZR 225/45/17
-Cusco Turbo Heatshield
-Go Fast Bits Hybrid 50/50 Blow Off Valve (red)
-Helix Catted Downpipe
-K&N Ram Air Intake (red)
-O.Z. Chrono Evo rims 17x7
-Shiv Pathak Custom Dyno Tune
-**Samco Intercooler Hoses (red)
-**Samco Ancillary Hoses (red)
-**STi Fuel Injectors 565cc
-STi JDM Catless Up-pipe
-STi Radiator Hoses
-STi Short Throw Shifter
-**VF-34 IHI Ballbearing Turbo
-**Walbro Fuel Pump
Notice the parts with stars, they have yet to be installed. I also am getting my car tuned for pump and race as maps. I want to know what people think my times will be.
I may even start a betting pool, but I heard someone say I will never hit 11's with a VF-34. Thanks

It would be impossible to get 11's with a VF34...even the king of the streets only ran a 12.8 and thats with 100 octane...and on top of that he has a FMIC, Header, a non-catted downpipe, and a less restrictive exhaust.

yep 11's is impossible on a vf34. When i ran my car at the track it was in 100+ degree weather and i didnt launch very hard (1.8 60ft's) and i hit a 12.8. It was my first time out so i think i could maybe hit a 12.6 if its cooler out and i drive the car harder. But yea theres absolutly no way you will high an 11. You need a turbo like a FP green and alot more supporting mods (maybe some more red engine bay paint) to get you there.

oh and also you have ecutek right? ecutek doesnt have storage for two complete maps, it only has the ability to change boost maps. Just upping the boost won't give you considerable gains on a vf34, most of the gains from using higher octane gas on this turbo are from leaning the a/f and advacing timing. Essentially having 1.5 maps if you like.
