05 sti suspension on a 02!!! help!!!!

Unhappy 05 sti suspension on a 02!!! help!!!!

so basically i got stock 05 sti suspension (struts, springs, and tophats) im trying to put on my 02 wrx the rear struts work fine but the front struts dont line up right does anybody out there no a way around this to make it fit??? or did i waste my money???? somebody help!!!!

You wasted ur money, 05+ STI suspension will not fit on ur car.

You need to find an 04 sti suspension or go all aftermarket

Only need new tophats to fit.... not really waste of money in my opinion. just sell the tophats and buy new ones. Don't be so rough on the guy!!!

i thought that the bottom bracket on the 05+sti is different as well. This is why you need to swap when you change to 5x114.3. So new top hats would not make them work you would need to do more than that to get them to work at least thats wat i thought

thanx wes thats a sweet 02 u got there but i dont believe its the tophat thats the problem i think its where it connects on the bottom on the front 2 struts i havnt tried to put them on yet but i was told that the bolt hole doesnt line up if nebody has done this kind of swap and had it work with just changing the tophats please let me know

this is funny i just did the same thing on my 02, got the rears on fine. The fronts the bolt spacing on the 05+ knuckle is 3" and on our cars its 2.5".

Which i didn't find out until i started my install.

so now im just running the 05 sti springs in the front with my stock 02 struts, and the 05 sti struts and springs in the rear. Looks good and handles good too so im happy for now.
