02 legacy to impreza swap

ive got the opportunity to purchase an 02 legacy ej20 twin turbo with a tiptronic auto trans. would it b possible to swap this engine and trans into an 02 impreza auto? any help is much appreciated. email me at camc@swiftdsl.com.au cheers all

If its a 02 Legacy sedan, you should keep the setup.... why bother to put it into the 02 Impreza when you could just get a STI or WRX? I just don't know why you'd NOT want to use the Legacy platform.

its just the engine not the entire car thats for sale. otherwise i would just leave it in there. i was thinking of swapping into my impreza because i prefer impreza hatch to the legacy wagon. the tiptronic trans and twin turbo sounded pretty good. id have an sti but i live in australia where they cost over 60k so a 4k engine swap sounds a little more inviting.

Oh I thought it might have been the Legacy sedan, didn't know you were talking about a wagon. The auto tranny should be able to hold the power better, at least you won't have to be replacing clutches.
