snorkus delete: good mod or waste of 20 miniutes

just took out my snorkus and i'm not sure why i hear very little differance and zero power gain , so why does everyone do it which brings us to the question snorkus delete good mod or waste of 20 miniutes...... maybe i should have put this under the offical F thread whatever!

i can tell the dif majorly u must be deaf or something id say it was a good mod cuz it didnt cost anything and it gave me something to do plus i think it sounds pretty tight and seams to drive smoother

Yeah dude. It is basically a stock short ram. You should hear the turbo BOV "wooshing and swooshing". And when you gas it at lower RPMs you also should hear a small throaty grumple. As for a power gain probably not much but i can tell you one thing:

You remember how big that silencer was. Think of all the air restriction that was causing. Not to mention you should feel a small improvment in acceleration smoothness.

Hey man for free, I think it is worth it. I did it before i got my short ram. I would do it again if i had the chance. Thats just my 2 pennies.

well i guess it's a good sunday mini-project and i was bored so i started the thread, anyway you guys are right it was free and it got me away from at least one game of madden

I actually felt a power difference. Before it use to studder on low RPMs fairly noticeably. It still does but not as much.

Sound is 100% different in a good way. Was passing a friend on the freeway and he texted me saying he could hear my turbo spool up.

and I've heard a million times that the factory airbox is better than an aftermarket intake if used with a high flow filter.
