At a warm idle take off the oil cap and see if puffs of smoke are coming out. That's another way to tell.

Thanks man. Yeah I know about that trick also. But with my catch can hooked directly to the crank case vent, and seeing the smoke coming from there I knew what was wrong. Did the compression and leakdown just to make sure. Sucks right now, but will be nice when its done.

I've had one built block and 3 oems ones. My problems were due to the air pump though. So I did the air pump delete and ever since no more issues

I'm glad mine is gone now. It's nice to have that extra space to.

PMed you Corn.

Dan what did you wind up doing about the atmosphere switch on the one pump? did you leave the pump in the engine bay or take the switch off the pump and just plug that in?

Thanks man. Yeah it sucks, but it will be badass when shes rebuilt with forged pistons and new bearings. May do some headwork while she's apart.

The solenoid that the atmospheric sensor is attached to....I just left that entire solenoid on. It's not in the way of anything and hold the sensor in place. Everything I ripped out. haha
