just a heads up for yall, i got pulled over yesterday for no reason just because my car "looked" modified. now i have to get REF'd.. same cop pulled me over this morning not even 24 hours later to ask me if i fixed my problems wrote me another ticket for the same **** (exhaust and intake) and threated me that hes going to tow my car and throw me in jail if my cars on the road again.just a heads up for you guys with exhaust.

 

well i guess it has reached the valley, originally the bay area was the hot spot for modified vehicles. I went to court on tuesday and was hoping the judge would see it my way but modified exhaust is unexeptable! So this leaves me questioning our local law enforcement, v.c 25700 says you cannot modify exhaust to amplify sound but another section says you cannot have an exhaust louder than 95 db which one is it? The bottom line is chevy,ford and dodge trucks can run flowmasters and mustangs camaros vetts have hi flow cats and aftermarket headers but we can't even run a catback without being harassed.I would like some answers if we can't have aftermarket products than no one should!

 

Move to Sonora. I rev at the cops and they rev right back at me and laugh.

P.S.- I run a full Perrin catless TBE.

 

Very odd since I am in Manteca every weekend and never get a second glance from the cops here. The charger cops don't even stare. What cop was it that pulled you over?

 

Manteca is loaded with SRT-4s. You think they would be gettin them....

it was a charger cop, just be glad he has not got you yet, and i hope he doesnt. the way they treated me like i was a criminal or somthing, had me get out of the car and sit on the sidewalk. the funny thing is the first time he gave me the ticket i was fine with it because i know im in the wrong for having exhaust without a cat, but as he handed me the ticket he says " if you get pulled over again just show them the ticket and they will let you go"... not even 24 hrs later im on my way to my moms to put my stock parts back on he pulls me over pops my hood takes pictures of my car and hands me another ticket for the exact same stuff..

Wow that sucks bro, was it the younger guy in the charger or the older guy, I believe there are 2 charger cops and the younger guy seems pretty cool.

 

yeah man.. cars staying stock from now on, dont want to deal with their bs. he was the older charger cop.

 

Cannot modify exhaust if it'll increase the db more than stock is what I've found out.

I guess I've always been lucky
