I have a black 99 coupe. Debating if I should go clear corners or all amber corners... Any insight?

that looks so mean. how'd you do that? i have some projectors i dont use.... please.... show me your ways. hahaha

 

hahaha. i'm okay. i'd be interested in the interior pieces. and a lot of other stuff you have actually. but i barely have enough money to get the exhaust. hahaha

 

Honestly though the retrofit is one of the top 3 mods I ever did to my car. The stock output is such crap.

 

Went clear for a bit. Then went full orange. And this is what I found out...

Clear: get whiter bulbs and actually clear ones. Don't do the DIY way. Hahaha

Orange: Looks aggressive. Has a Euro/BMW look to it IMO.









I decided to stay with the orange. Reason only because the DIY clears look... Yeah... Lol! And for some reason, the orange on the tail lights and turn signals didn't go with the clear up front. I personally like the whole clear/white set up, front corners to tail. But the orange will do for now. Since I don't have ANY money for those parts. Hahaha

Now when clear comes to play, you have to accent accordingly. Same with amber. What tail lights do you have? Are they jdm clears? If so, stick with clear up front. Amber oem tails? Amber front. Your corner blinkers also play a role in color, I would do matching with the rest. Side markers can be either amber or clear because it is a small accent and will go with either. I have plenty of ppl suggest to me "get jdm tails yo!" Guess they have no aesthetic taste in vehicle appearance.....

Amber really makes the dark colors pop and give it more definition and depth........ clear makes it more casual and blends better with a cleaner, sleeper look. Theres plenty of pictures out there, please do a search and look. Amber on my BRP is a whole another explicit animal compared to clear on BRP.

 

Thanks phosizzle. I was thinking the same exact thing. I'm going to keep my ambers for now til I get enough to do the whole JDM light conversion.
