BRZ at modesto dealership
Took my STi in for service and they had a pearl white BRZ. One of the sales men is driving it around and he happened to be in Modesto today. I took pictures but haven't had a chance to resize Tue pictures. Here are the links to the photos and I will embed them when I get to ly computer later. The sales men told me that they were told each dealership would get 4 due to limited quantities. He also told me that 3 had already be reserved.

Ya.
Sales guy said as we all know they havent said they would or wouldn't make an "STi" trim. He also said that they hadn't releashed an exact price. I said "low 20's right?" and he said "Probably about $25k"

Basically this is priced as a wrx even though the original reason for building this car was an affordable sports car for all. the sti will be high in price WHEN they release t. You knoww theres no way subaru would pass up an opportunity like this. i coulda sworn in.modified master they said they were researching it and that's why they had a "still" concept. the question is when and.how much.

Im still up in the air on this car aswell,I want awd and turbo. When i think subaru i think awd then turbo So if the scion model is rwd to replace the old toyota, its eehhh!!But for a subaru it just does not do it for me.I understand the whole sports car blah blah at xxx price.Reminds me of a rx8

Well, it says "Toyota" on the intake manifold for a reason, they contributed the "direct injection system" & the styling, why you think it looks like a Toyota/Scion. As of right now, Subaru doesn't want to turbocharge or make it AWD cuz it will compromise the whole design of the car, plus the engine is positioned all the way back against the firewall as possible for optimal weight distribution/handling. The BRZ is made for pure handling delight, not outright power. It's made lightweight for a reason, the design is all purposeful & they have no plans to change it's philosophy. It was made primarily for a sporty car return (with RWD for handling) for Toyota (that's why they got the 86 badge on the side while Subaru's is blank), they just used them to build the engine since they wanted one as close to the ground as possible (this boxer appears to have the lowest center of gravity than any sports car i believe). Drifters will def love this platform, as will short, twisty track racers. I didn't like it at first, but it's def growing on me, esp when it's modded. I really would like to test drive it though!
