Testing the waters - 02 MBP WRX
Hey guys,
As much as I love my wrx, it's just not a good commuter car and I hate to put too many miles on it in such a short amount of time. I travel on the freeway all the way to work (from San Ramon/Dublin - Martinez) and have added about 10-11,000 miles in the time I've had the car just in going to work and school.
The car has never been red-lined by me or the previous owner (who lived in San Francisco)
The car came with the following modifications:
- Blitz SUS intake
- Greddy Evo 2 catback-exhaust system
-Helix downpipe (sold and replaced with OEM for smog)
-Helix up-pipe
-Greddy Type S BOV
-Black-housing headlights
-18inch Aerospeed rims (they were and still are pretty road rashed) I haven't scraped the rims once but the previous owner lived in the city by the SFSU.
-Blitz Single Solenoid Boost controller
- Turbo Timer ( I forget which maker)
-Gauge pod that goes on the center console (I'll find out the manufacturer in a bit)
-STI replica strut tower brace.
Since purchase I have added the following:
- Subydude Street Stage Complete WRX Hawk Brake Upgrade (includes Hawk Performance HPF front and rear pads, Motul RBF 600 brake fluid, and all 4 Racing Brake slotted rotors.)
- BF Goodrich SS brake lines
- 4 new Falken Tires
- kartboy Short shifter
- Whiteline Steering Rack Bushines (installed by SpeedElement)
- Kartboy Shifter bushings (Not installed yet)
-STI Mats
-Subaru all weather mats
I still have the stock WRX mats as well.
I bought the car for about $13,200 and am looking to get at max $14,000 or so for it since I've added all new brakes and tires. I need to pay off the rest of the loan as well. I am open to reasonable offers however.
The car has just about 74,000 easy freeway miles.
