i have a 97' outback safari edition auto. it has 120k miles but runs like its brand new. the car has been in my family since day one. it was my fathers as his commuter car (about 150 miles) for about 5 years, thats where most of the milage came from. it has been in no major accidents. the car was side swiped but the only damage was to the doors and front fender, but was repaired imidiatly. the accident was during the time when he was driving it incase you were wondering. as far as the safari edition goes, it has everything that the ltd's have except for a sun roof and leather. it has wood trim all around, even in places that the ltd doesnt. erverything works fine except for the seat heaters but i would pay to have them repaired before purchase. it has a kenwood excelon kdc-x869 deck, kenwood excelon 810D 1600 watt mono amp. 2 infinity kappa perfect 12's in a Q logic box with removable port plugs and monster cable. the car has a ball antena mount installed in the rear drivers side quarter panel but as you said in your post cosmetics arent the most important thing. you wouldnt happen to be into ham radio, if so its good to go. im getting ready to go off to school in the fall thats why i am looking to sell this. this thing has been babied since i got it, i dont drive it hard at all and have been rigorous about changing the oil every 3k miles. i have kept up with all recall issues also such as an alternator replacement and somthing to do with the suspension. i hope you like it, i will send pics as soon as i get my camera back from a friend.
