st(d)ealer is offering 25,500 for the car... I'd rather see the car go to the enthusiast, then be parked at the dealer lot with a price tag of $30K. No one is interested at $26000???

The car is still under new subaru powertrain warranty (60Kmi). No I won't turn it in to the dealer. pm responded.

 

Consider trading the spt catback for a stock sti catback plus cash on my end?

 

Im looking to get into a new body style, price is right as well. But wont be ready for another month or so. Good luck selling it.

 

@kmurphy - Thanks. @flat - no thanks and here is why:

I love the car - it is great. It is a bit too expensive to keep: tires, brakes, gasoline costs are high so I am considering switching to a smaller car (e.g. honda si). I am only considering it though and I will *not* sell this car just to get rid of it. I also hate haggling and that's why $26000 is my no-haggle price. My sti needs new front brakes (still original brakes) and new set of tires. This costs around a couple of grand. This was another reason why I decided to put it up for sale instead of doing brakes and tires myself.

Right now I use my ranger for commuting and drive my sti on weekends. If it doesn't sell, I will end up putting the new brakes and tires and will continue to drive it/enjoy it (sparingly )

I also do not like dealers. So no, they won't be getting my car.

 

UPDATE: car is still for sale. I bought front rotors and pads but have not installed them yet.

 

Today installed a set of pirellis pzero neros at a total cost of $979. Mileage pushing 45K. Price firm - 26K.

Update: Car has 45600 miles now. Fresh air filter, oil. Front brakes/rotors purchased from KNS brakes but have not installed yet. New set of tires. Same price. Serious buyers only.

 

Do you have proof of all service records?

 

90% of service were done in Stevens Creek Subaru - they have computer records for this car. you will see oil changes every 3kmi. once transmission oil.

Additionally I changed air filter 3 times (autozone, sorry no record).
