FS: (CO) 2000 2.5 RS SRP Lower Engine Damage
Ok so here's the story. I've got a 2000 2.5 RS that's in good to great condition all round except for the fact that it would seem I've just blown a rod bearing.
I've done a great job of maintaining her but I somehow dropped all but a quart of her oil with no notice, warnings or signs in a period of 2 days after my mechanic had just checked my oil levels for a tech inspection.
It should be known that I've tracked this car a total of 12 days consisting of 5 weekends at Pueblo and one at Hastings. The picture shows my first HPDE ONE event at Pueblo.
The mileage on the car is approx 120k (I'll get the exact number tonight). 5 spd manual.
My mechanic says it's lower engine damage and I can't afford to do a WRX or STI swap and don't want to just get it rebuilt.
The car starts and drives but the knocking only gets louder with higher rpm.
I'd prefer to sell her (Roxy) to someone who will do an engine swap or is just in love with this body style like myself and wants to fix her up.
If I can't find a buyer I think I'll have to do a part out to get the most for my car. I plan on getting an 06 WRX STI but need to recoupe some money from this one first.
Upgrades:
SPT intake
SPT exhaust
After market alarm
Tokico D-Spec Adjustable Shocks (2 months ago)
Falken Azenis summer performance tires (brand new)
Momo shift **** & skirt
Coupe Spoiler
Yakima Roof Rack (base unit w/ no accessories)
Feel free to ask me any questions and if you show more interest I'll take more pictures.
She's sitting at the shop (Flatirons Tuning in Boulder, CO) as we speak.
Asking $x,000 o.b.o. All offers welcome. Thanks for looking.

A new opportunity just arose to get Roxy fixed that wasn't feasible before. So I'm going to pursue that avenue.
Thanks everyone for the interest.
