It’s a sad day but it’s time to sell my beloved Subaru STi. I’m preparing to move out of the country soon and it doesn’t make sense for me to have it parked at a relative’s house. I am the second owner of the car, purchasing it in the summer of 2009 from Tom of Kartboy Racing. Tom bought the car from Livermore Subaru in Northern California before moving it down to Southern California. He had barely put on 3,000 miles in the year and a half of ownership before selling it to me. Since then, I have made tasteful modifications to the car, and done all regular maintenance and either by myself, Subaru dealerships, or specialized Subaru mechanics.
The car is in great condition, with only a few blemishes on the exterior. There is some light scratching on the roof where I had mounted the Yakima Control Towers for my ski rack. And there are three minor door ding like dents on the rear side of the roof where my rack popped open once while driving and my snowboards flipped upwards and tails tapped the back of my roof.
The interior is also in good condition. The seats show little wear, the side bolstering on the driver’s seat is still supportive and unwrinkled. There are some scratches on the plastic surfaces that come with regular day to day use.
Unfortunately the car has been in one minor accident. The Subaru was street parked and a car came around the corner too fast, colliding into the driver’s side rear quarter panel. I had the repairs done at a reputable body shop, doing a full teardown and inspection prior to replacing everything with new parts. They found no frame damage, and replaced my driver side rear quarter panel, rear bumper, driver side side skirts, and any damaged suspension parts. I have the whole process documented and can provide it to those interested.
The Subaru has been freshly detailed. I have both keys, manual, and all receipts and documents. It’s ready to drive and ready for a new owner!
