FS: 2003 WRX "just a wagon"
Been dreading making this post, but the time has come. Selling my 2003 WRX wagon, infamously and affectionately known as "Toby". I will get this out of the way early: Toby is not normal. Toby, in his current form, cannot be legally driven on the street. Please read the whole post. I will be ignoring "Is this available" messages and tire kickers.
Here is a link to the build thread and the journey Toby has taken in the past decade (almost to the day): https://www.i-club.com/forums/ongoin...-wagon-245193/
I did a quick spreadsheet of the parts on the car at full retail that will be included and stopped counting at about $25,000 BEFORE I got to the long block and 6MT driveline, and not including the vehicle itself.
My options are to strip everything off Toby and part it out or find someone wanting the whole package at a screaming deal. This ad is to gauge the interest for the latter as I really do NOT want to do the former.
Toby will be registered as "planned non-operational" on or before November 15. This allows for the sale of the vehicle without a smog certificate. If you're planning a build of your own and want a bunch of quality parts, gut it and retire the frame OR sell off the parts and bring it back into compliance paying minimal back fees (registration is about ~$140/year) to get it back on the road.
Toby has a clean title and has never been in accident (worst was going off Thunderhill West at turn 8, but the only damage was to the lip and some grass in the radiator that has since been replaced). Needless to say, the total value of the vehicle is well in excess of the asking price of $12,50011,000, but I feel this is a fair value for someone to go one of the two routes mentioned above. Additional pictures and information available upon request for serious inquiries only. Thanks for looking!

Man I wish I could swing buying this thing and get it registered out of state or something. So much work in this thing and all the respect. I'd love to stuff a bunch of this into my wagon but I don't think I could bring myself to parting this out.
