FS: 2000 GC Coupe 2.5L FULL SWAP
Well this is a very sad day for me but I am posting my GC up for sale. This thing is my baby and I want it to go to a person who will take care of it like it should be. This has been my second car for almost a year now. Therefore it sits in the garage 5 days a week. The swap was done the Summer of 2007, by Suba, of course. I think Troy would agree with me that this is the cleanest swap he has ever done. Last I heard it was still the only GC with an 06 conversion in the state. No corners were cut on this swap, swap took 6 weeks, and it was a full swap. Everything in this car is 2006 WRX. The GC has 85,000 miles on it when it was swapped. The Donor car has 13,000 miles on it. Swap was everything, engine, dash, tranny, rear diff, gas tank, EVERY single wire! A list of all mods are below. You would be hard pressed to find a cleaner GC in the state, I wash and vaccum this thing ever weekend, and it only gets driven 2-3 times a week. Dyno numbers are below, the tune was very conservative, I wanted it that way. This thing isnt even close to reaching its potential, but right now it's as smooth of a car as you will drive.
The only negetive about the car, no airbags (just like all of suba's swaps). Actually everything is very close to working, I just havent taken the time to figure it out. We used the stock gc airbag ecu, and the 06 wiring was plug and play into this. This way the airbags are only looking for two bags instead of the sides. The passenger bag is all hooked up. I BELIEVE (not positive), that with a 05-06 WRX wheel everything will plug in and work. The STI wheel has an additiaonl plug my clock spring doesn't, this is the only plug not hooked up. I don't drive it much so I didn't take the time to get them fixed. I think a dealership can fix the airbags to work. In addition I know my insurance company will insure the car without airbags for about $6 more a month. This is how I have gotten around the issue.
Reason for selling: I have to get rid of my addiction. I have been putting thousands of dollars into this car every year for a long as I can remember. I have recently run into some un-expected house expenses, and I think its time for me to get rid of what I spend a majority of my money on. I will regret this for a long time, but financially I don't have much choice right now.

I have approx. $20,000 into this car to date.
Price: My asking price is $14,500. A 2006 WRX base with this many miles goes for $22,000 right now. A 2000 GC coupe goes for $8000 right now. I think $14,500 is a good middle ground, and a great price for what you are really getting.
I will say right now no joy rides in this thing. You have to show real interest for me to let you drive it. Please let me know if you are interested, once again I want this to go to a good home, where I know someone will take care of it and treat it like it should be. I know around these parts a clean GC swap is hard to find, so jump on a great oppurtunity.
Last note..... I am willing to put the bill of sale at whatever you want. Whether it is the $8,000 the GC is worth, or even lower. This is something I have done on all of my purchased cars, will save you a lot on state tax, plates, insurance, and knowone well ever know the difference.
If Interested: Email (skibumm3@gmail.com), Or give me a call 970-313-7883. Would be willing to meet someone halfway after a deposit is put down. I am in Colorado.
