CT: '99 2.5RSTI full '04 STI swap, 6-speed, 400whp
Good Morning Folks,
From what I gather, "feeler" threads are generally frowned upon in most internet communities, but in this instance I feel it's appropriate relative to the extensive mods on the car. I'm in the neighborhood of $16k OBO, and if the price is right, I will include all my spares from stock '99-'01 RS lighting to a giant TMIC, to an HKS SSQV, to a spare DBW throttle assembly.
So, here is my '99 2.5RS with a complete '04 STI EJ257 swap including 6-speed. I don't think the car needs too much explanation beyond the mod list, but a few words just because I like to type.
This swap was done in a private garage (in Staten Island, I believe) by the first owner. He in turn sold it to my good friend in Bayside, Queens, and I bought it from him when he had too many projects on his plate and needed cash.
When I got it, the CEL was on and it was throwing multiple codes. No problem, I always like to do a little wrenching. Fixed a few vacuum lines, got the ECS DBW pedal bracket, realigned the throttle and most importantly, got her RETUNED by Junior at The Shop.
The car was a real dog before I cleaned her up and brought her to Junior, now I will tell you that it quite simply hauls ***. Once the SR55 spools, this thing is an absolute monster on the streets.
Yes, I've driven it fast. No, I haven't launched it. While the mods make it very easy to exceed the speed limit very quickly, it is not a purpose-built race car so it does not get abused as such.
Previous NY state title lists mileage exemption as car is 10 years old so I truthfully do not know chassis mileage.
Modifications:
Other notable items include OE Honda S2000 seats and a Defi Red Racer boost gauge on the steering column. It has the OE carbon-look trim on the lower dash and black/gray-checkered OE rear seats and door panels.
Exterior mods are Depo black housing headlights w/ 6k HIDs, Depo amber corners, Lamin-X yellow fogs and JDM red/clear tails. Paint is OK, but certainly reflects the age of the car.
This car is no joke. It's definitely not for someone who just got their license. It can get you in trouble real quick. The clutch is pretty brutal and I wouldn't recommend it if you sit in traffic often.
Let's put it this way, if you are reading this thread (and on this forum for that matter), you know exactly what you're looking at. That being said, hopefully you have a pretty decent idea of what it's worth.
A short vid to give you an idea of what she sounds like, pics to follow.

A very few of you know me in person and I would hope could confirm that I am as honest as the day is long, and for those who don't, my detailed pics should confirm.
So, without further delay, I give you my '99 RSTI in all its glory and shame. It's not all nice and shiny because that's not how it gets driven, and pollen is a *****. Pics are bigger because most folks usually ask for more detail.

The '04 5x100 gold BBS are in great shape, just a touch of very light curbage perhaps noticeable in the pics. Following are interior shots including the STI dash, cluster (to verify swap mileage) and of course S2000 front seats.

And now, on to the known issues - a sale thread is the good, the bad and the ugly. I like to think of myself as an honest guy as I appreciate the same in others. There's nothing worse than driving hours to see a car only to be unpleasantly surprise and/or disappointed.
Infamous "triangle," slight dash gap visible with open door.
Largest paint chip on front edge of hood, she certainly reflects her age.
Largest paint chip on top edge of front bumper.
Wear and tear along the right front fender and hood edge.
Rust along the outside edge of the right front fender.
Nickel-sized dent on driver side door, hard to show.
Cracked side-view mirror glass, driver side.
Paint scuff on driver side side-view that likely caused the crack.

Moving along to the rear of the car and passenger side damage.
Rear driver side bumper bolt hole torn where it attaches to the bumper.
Scratch on left side of rear bumper above exhaust.
Paint chip on left side of rear bumper above exhaust.
Now then, since the car sits for the most part (pics to prove that momentarily), I was unaware that this rust had formed under a "split" in the rear passenger side fender paint. For transparency's sake, I removed the split paint to fully disclose the surface rust beneath.
Dime-sized dent in passenger side door near the handle.
Button-sized paint chip on passenger side front fender.
Crack in passenger side bumper turn signal.

A few randoms, some to validate her as a driveway queen, others just because.
She doesn't get out much, spiders think she's cozy.
Sir, may I see your proof of Brembos?
Loud and proud.
Lastly, just tough.

All,
My Photobucket bandwidth is very near its limit (almost 35,000 views haha), so please do not be surprised to see place markers soon instead of pics.
Maybe I'll upload to Flickr also, but just a friendly heads-up. Thank you!

Thanks very much, 5 x 100 gold BBS are a rare bird these days.
