1989 Dark Blue 240SX Hatchback S13
Black Top SR20DET from 1998 S13
GReddy V_SPL front mount intercooler, GReddy 3" downpipe, Catco high-flow cat, also have a 3" test pipe, 3" A'PEXi Dual N1 exhaust, silencers for exhaust, HKS adjustable wastegate, set at 14 psi. Walbro 255lph in-tank fuel pump.
300ZX twin turbo 4 piston front calipers and front and rear Brembo rotors (x-drilled/slotted), steel braided lines front and rear. Whiteline adjustable front and rear swaybars, NISMO power brace, SPL tension control rods (heim joints), PDM Racing lower control arms w/polyurethane bushings and new ball joints w/ grease fittings. Tein tie rods and tie rod ends. Rear subframe bushing spacers, NISMO engine mounts and Tanabe drift spec polyurethane trans mount. Pilot short throw shifter. MOMO steering wheel. Blitz Illumi-drive blue face boost gauge (1.5 bar).
HKS clutch and lightened flywheel, Enjuku Racing 1 piece aluminum driveshaft.

Ok surfer5567 I tried to send you a pm but would not go through..so quick brush up on silvias and SR20's
s13's came in the Q and K mod. the K was turbo. it had a red top sr20det that made 205 ps or 202 crank hp. The 180 sx or RPS13 and at first a ca18det. then in 1990 the kouki 180sx had a black top sr20det. same output as the s13k's sr20. Both stated in 1989. The 180 sx ended in 1995 or 1996 the s13 ended in 1994. From 1995 to 1998 the s14 was made also in the Q and K mod. the new sr20det in the s14 had a better oiling system, better pistons and upgraded turbo that came in ball bearing garrett t28. it was a black top, and put out 220 ps or 218 crank hp. there are physical difs between the s13 and s14 engines. the easy way to tell if the black top is an s14 or kouki rps13 engine is look at the cover if the back of the cover is angled down then its from an s14, the s14 manifold is positioned diffrent too. The s15 engine looks the same as the s14k but has upgrades and a better flowing garrett T28 b.b. turbo. the first s15 had a little more power then the s14 and much better handling, and had a 6 speed tranny.. later in 1999 they released the s15 spec R which had 250 ps.
Something good that nissan did was follow what was going on in the streets. owners of 180 sx's were taking the fron ends off s13's and putting them on the 180's making the sil-eighty. Nissan like it and made for one year a sil-eighty with the 180sx sr20det engine (205ps)...
I had my hand under plenty of silvia hoods when I lived there. I got to live there when the s14, s15, R33 gtr, R345 gtr were all new well the s14 was pretty new. oh the s14 had 2 versions..the one everyone liked most was called the cat eye version.

Actually....
From 1988 - 1990 the S13 and RS13 (180sx) was equipped with the CA18DE and CA18DET motors (RS13 had no non-turbo option.)
From 1991 - 1993 The PS13 and RPS13 Chasis was equipped with the red top SR20DET (the change to PS and RPS signifies the change in engine)
In 1994 the PS13 was replaced by the S14 Chasis, but the RPS13 (180sx) continued in production until 1997. The Type R and Type X 180SX started in 1994 with the black top SR20DET. This was the same engine as the earlier SR just with a black valve cover to match the introduction of the S14's SR20DET (which had VVT and 220ps where the 180sx stayed with out VVT and remained at 205ps.)
People need to realize that Black top is used to differentiate the early Red top SR20DET and the later Black top SR20DET that were used in the S13 Chasis.
The VVT SR20DET's that were in the S14 and S15 Silvia's are generally refered to by the chasis they came out of. Most racers/mechanics prefer tuning the S13 model SR20DET becuase of the lack of VVT interference.
I lived in Japan for the last yen years and owned several S13's in my time there.
1990 S13 Silvia Q's with CA18DE (145ps)
1989 S13 Silvia Q's that I later swapped engine and tranny out to CA18DET (175ps)
1988 A31 Cefiro with RB20DET (205ps ECU and exhaust tuned to 245ps)
1994 RPS13 180sx with the black top SR20DET (220ps with exhaust tuning only)
Oh and Strawberry face refers to the S15 Silvia Spec R, because 1-5 in Japanese is Ichi-go (ichi = one ; go = five) the word "ichigo" is also Strawberry....thus Strawberry face Silvia.
The S15 Silvia ran from 1999-2003 (killed off by the French Guy...even though he loved the car....jerk)
The car on the Left is an S15 and my old 180 is the red one...miss it bad.
