Car is located in southern MA.
Up for sale is my WRX, a very solid and extremely reliable car. I am the second owner, I've owned it for almost four years. The car has not had any modifications apart from a catback exhaust (since removed). No boost controllers, no abuse. Adult owned, never launched, never redlined. Car starts and idles without issues, revs and runs very strong, I consistently get 26 mpg.
I have performed all maintenance and followed up with any needed repairs. Timing belt was changed at 78k miles when the cold fuel leak issue was addressed by a local Subaru shop (DSG). AC and alternator belts were also replaced. Oil is Mobil 1 synthetic every 5k miles.
In the last 5k miles:
Shocks replaced, fuel and air filters, plugs, brakes bled.
In the last year:
Brakes, diff and transmission fluids
Timing belt has been changed (@ 78k miles), this will not be an issue!
STI transmission mount replaced stock mount
The exterior has some flaws: the rear bumper was tapped by someone, resulting in spidered paint and a bit of flaking near the license plate (see picture). shallow dent on passenger front fender (see picture), I wasn't able to get this to show up very well. Front end is an example of Subaru's thin paint, there are many rock chips on the hood and fenders near the headlights. I was unable to get this to show up in pictures. THe car looks good, however it is not a showcar.
Interior is very clean, some scuffs/light scratches but otherwise great. AC blows very cold, no issues. Stock 6 CD stereo has no issues. All electionic devices (radio, windows, mirrors, lights... work properly).
Wheels have been replaced with RS 6 spokes, with stock Bridgestone RE92 tires.
Wheels are true and in good shape, a small bit of curb rash on one wheel. Tires are about half worn.
This is a solid car and has never let me down. It is not perfect but it is in great shape for its age and has been properly maintained. We've owned two 02 WRX's for years now, so it's time for one to go. Please email me if you have any specific questions or want higher quality pictures.
