Well what lady friend is in this particular case is this: We dated for a while and then were off and on for a while and now we just hang out. We might end up married in the end tho... We'll just see what happens.
I gotta see if hers has the guage option package or not. She bought the thing slightly used.

Change the oil at regular, frequent intervals and consider using a synthetic oil that is more resistant to heat than conventional oils.
Everyone talked about letting the turbo cool, but nobody mentioned WHY you should let the turbo cool. If you shut down the engine with the turbo very hot, the oil stops circulating and "cokes". This coking of the oil causes the oil to oxidize into the equivalent of tiny sand particles- something you definitely don't want in your oil.
The WRX turbo is water cooled, which helps this situation. However, it is always a good idea to let the turbo cool down if you've recently been driving the car hard. Check out page 2 of this link for an "official" discussion regarding the WRX's unique turbo coolant system. Pop the hood on your friend's car - the high point in the cooling system is a squarish box right above the turbo that has a radiator cap on it.

Yeah but I don't want my car "coking," next thing she'll do is start hanging out with those "other cars" that are a bad influence...then you notice change missing from your dresser which is the step right before the Ho'in starts....They should use speed instead...speed is much better!
