WRX seats

Does anyone know if 03 wrx seats will fit in my 98 GC8?

My guess is they would... the mounts shouldnt have changed which means they would fit.

IMO wait and go for some good JDM STi seats.

03 seats are more comfortable, 04 seats look better, what is your priority?

I think the 04 seats are extremely comfortable. They are the first stock seats I have ever sat in that don't hurt my back after a while. I have never been more comfortable. I am also pretty tall 6'4" which has something to do with it.

imo, the 04 seats aren't as good as the 02/03 ones because of the fact that it lacks alot of laterial grip which is not good for twisties/autox/track.

Seats are a totally subjective thing. What is great for one person is uncomfortable for the next. If he likes the fit of the 03's better thats just fine. Personally I like the 04 seats and find them very comfortable and they held me well when I rode in an 04. But just remember "to each their own" is especially pertinent when talking about seats.
