Why did you buy or want a WRX wagon?
Alright, I have a friend who's mother bought an Audi A4 wagon, had it special ordered and everything... well. Disregard the gender part of it all in this thread, I am just curious of why the hell she got a wagon when in fact it is dinkier than the sedan?! I have driven both WRX's and I am curious myself what drives the scooby buyer towards his wagon WRX? to be different? more space? I'd like to know... There are three cool wagons IMO, the Magnum R/T (no way the SXT, blah!), the WRX wagon, and the Saab 92x which is essentially a WRX wagon also.

I was on the fence when I ordered my wagon, but the rear folding seats sealed the deal for me. In retrospect, I am very happy I did not go with the sedan. The wagon has much better functionality, looks better with racks, has better visibility than the loaner WRX sedan's I've driven, and attracts a little less attention from cops and ricers.

1.5" more headroom, factory roof rack, fold down rear seats, you can fit 8 foot long 2x4s inside (seats folded down, extending between driver and passenger), and with the optional crossbar kit, you can haul tons of stuff on the roof.
Many people regret buying the sedan. I don't recall anyone regretting purchasing the wagon.

Wagons are a hundred times better looking than sedans. Now if there was an Impreza coupe for sale I'd probably prefer that over the Wagon. The Wagon is also alot more functional, and I'd imagine probably has a better weight bias as well. I'm not dissapointed at all in my 99 L Wagon, and if I ever do pick up a WRX it'll definately be a wagon. The strange thing is that I'm in love with Legacy sedans.. while I think the downward-sloping roof and the extra length of the Legacy wagons are unappealing.
Dog, Bikes, and sleeper effect... A lot more pratical for me... Having the seats fold down is nice, I can get a lot of sh** back there. The factory rack is really nice if you want to put bikes or snow toys up there. Then there is the sleeper effect, I took a 350z with two bikes on top and my girlfriend shotgun w/ my slightly modded wagon. You should of seen the look on his face.
Well for one there are three logical options for powerful wagons. Audi "the originators" (too pricey) subaru budget awd (price and pwr) and now the monster dodge very cool, very powerful, very huge (very american) ...like you said the saab is the wrx..so it doesn't count
I love my wagon it rocks without looking too "boy racer-like" very subtle...very versatile.

Totally for the "Sleeper Effect". The convenience factor is pure gravy. I can take my wife and daughter to Ikea and pack my car full of stuff. As GDogg pointed out, you could easily go to Costco and stock up the entire house. Don't get me started on HomeDepot. You get the point.
Don't forget the lower insurance rate.
Best of all, with a trunk full of groceries, there's nothing like putting down a S4, Boxter-S or a kid with the "gangsta lean" reving his modded Honda at a stop light. Priceless.
Wagons rule!
