Stock systems suck 90% of the time and for the 1000-1200 you'd spend on the Subie stereo, you can put in 1 hell of an aftermarket system. Why all the whiners on a topic should be a no brainer. I wish more cars came w/o the stock junk so I wasn't ripped off by the company in the first place.

 

you have a good point, but a lot of people feel a little ripped of when they drop 32 large on a car without somehtng that comes on a 8 grand econo car

 

I think people want it as a standard feature. Not an option for 1000. At least then they could rip it out and sell it towards a new improved stereo.

My brother just dropped about 300.00 into a stereo for front speakers and a pheonix gold sub, he had his own amp and put it in himself, and built his own box. but it sounds really good, check out http://www.woofersetc.com/

 

Heh, very much agree. Having put custom stereos in my cars for over 15 years now, I wish my WRX came radioless. It would be a great excuse to build a custom system. :banana:

 

hrm, i much rather have the car prewired stick in my own speakers and deck...

 

ferraris didnt have radios until 97' but then again i dont know anyone that has a ferrari that has taken a 400 mile trip.
