The Z06 would be harder to push to the limits on a mountain road than the rex... It would be interesting though.

Obviously, the better driver would win.

A great driver in both the WRX and the Z06: Vette wins hands down. It has a huge power to weight advantage and an aggressive suspension.

A marginal driver (most of us) in both the WRX and the Z06: WRX is more forgiving of mistakes than the big power rear driver. Assuming the driver didn't crash (he's marginal, remember), I think the WRX would have the edge.

Given equal drivers, the Z06 would probably be out of sight within a minute or two. These cars aren't even in the same class.

True, they are not in the same class, and the Corvette is a pure sports car, whereas the WRX is a "sporty" jack of all trades. But, if the "equal drivers" were both mediocre, I'd think the vette would be sideways, facing the wrong direction or rolling end over end down a ravine before the WRX would do the same...Kosta was right when he said it would take a lot of skill to get all the performance out of vette.

vette
Our wrx is 265hp at the wheels. We are only 2 to 3 seconds behind several z06's at laguna Seca. This month we're installing an s/r 40 APS turbo, and a quaife front lsd. Those three guys are toast.

a MINI Cooper S can hang w/ Lamo, Ferrari and Porsche on curves..

if you seriously jack up your suspension you sure can run w/ the Vette
Um, yeah, but a MINI Cooper S is a better handling car than the WRX...
