Went to the dealer yesterday

Well, I think I might be jumping the ship soon. I currently have a 02 wrx with about 90000 miles on it (i commute about 45 miles one way) Anyways I've been looking at the TSX, so I went to the local dealership, to see what I could work out. I went in started talking to the rep, and these are the terms we came up with. It's a 04 TSX with 18000 miles (certified), I owe about 12500 on my car, and they would pay it off. The TSX they would give me for 22400, and my payment would be about 450 a month. I'm probably going to see if we can drop that a little more, but the car is incredible, especially the interior. I think by next week I'll go and pick it up. What do you guys think?

I assume you test drove the car, and are aware of how horribly slow it is. Also, DO NOT get an auto. The 6spd manual drives like a dream, but the auto does not shift well and has TONS of reliability problems.

Personally, I think that for the $23k they want for the an 04' TSX, you should also make sure to check out an 04' G35 sedan. You can pick them up used for about the same price and they are pushing 60hp more and in 6spd manual form run mid-lower 14's as opposed to the TSX's high 15's.... Not to mention the night and day torque difference.

A TSX is like a $25,000 car. You're going to pay $22,500 for a car that's 2.5 years old when a brand new one is stickered at $2,500 higher?

Aside, the TSX doesn't have AWD, and it doesn't look as good as a WRX either.

Sorry you're thinking about leaving the Subaru community for a Honda.
