Want to buy a Subie!

I have 8,000 ...and I am new to the whole subbie thing..I know they make great all weather cars!..I had to get rid of my very modified mustang and want something that is quick and fun to drive, and also modified what can I get for 8,000 bucks?...What is your guys's opinion on what would be best...Thanks, Chris

P.S. moving to colorado and mustangs suck in the snow!

Try for a 98/99 Impreza RS... If you cant get one for that much, try for a 98-01 Impreza L.

If you start talking modified, try an even older model L for under $4000 and use the extra $$$$ for an engine swap and other work. It wont be quick at first of course, so bear with it

Use $8,000 as a downpayment and get yourself WRX!!!

You won't regret it!! Well, the tranny might **** you off....

Nonsense, I would save a bit more and try and find a 00-01 RS.
They already have a limited-slip diff' and 2.5L engine that puts out plenty of torque. The handling characteristics are superior.

thanks for the heads up! ...I really am trying to afford both cars....Having a hard time parting with my stang, so much blood, sweat, and tears into it, besides its got 52k original miles on it...So it looks like I will be looking into 00-01 RS....also..really how much power can you get out of these lil cars and them still be VERY RELIABLE??? thanks, Chris

I agree about the 2.5RS i can't afford an sti so i'm looking for one myself. depending on $$$$ i might try for 00'-01'

My lil brother lives in Boulder.....We are looking into buying a house together there...He has lived there 6 yrs now and loves it!.I have visited a few times and think it would be a great place to live! And being From Seattle..I love the mountains, so goodbye south FLA!
