I give the bugatti 2000 miles before something breaks. Imagine taking that thing to the dealer for a tuneup. I could see the bill running close to 10 grand.
I wonder if any import tuners out there ever struck it rich and tried to tweak one of these things. Can you imagine someone hooking a boost controller to create more boost in something like that?

Don't wait for Ford to make the GT40 into a road car. Notice their concept has no place for DOT mandated bumpers.. and it's gonna be fugly once they build them in. Spend all those saved pennies on one of these:

Well, you take a car that's tuned for economy (civic) and you've got something to build on. You can turbocharge a ferrari, but why would you need to? The rich people who are tuning expensive cars can afford the track fees and know better than to attempt to drive an 800hp monster on the street. Go to a historic race sometime and watch all the old fogies with their dedicated racecars haul ***.

yea, how come you never see any of those cars tuned? Damn boring rich peope. if you can make a heavily tuned civic run a 9 second quarter, imagine what you could do with a car that runs single digit quarters completely stock.

I think the fastest "production car" is still the Sledge Hammer Corvette. Top speed is 255MPH and you can go order it from any Chevrolet dealer. It makes just over 1200HP and cost around $300,000. I know it was available a few years ago but I'm not sure if it still is. But then again, it is two-wheel-drive so who cares...
