turbos

can i put a aftermarket turbo on a 1991 subaru legacy ls sedan non-turbo? need more speed!:banana:

Yes!just finding a good shop to install it is the problem....

just drop in a wrx motor- i'm sure you can find one from a wrecked wrx

Is the EJ20 in the WRX the same one used in the Legacy in Japan (which is turbo)?

Are you sure it's a simple swap? One would think that maybe they use slightly different parts here and there, like motor mounts or something?

im more interested in what i would have to do to my 92 legacy turbo, to put a newer turbo in (the car is in the 300k are now).

yeah man you can put a turbo on just about anything if you're creative.........(the turbo scooter comes to mind)

you have to swap out the crossmember for a wrx unit other than that mechanically it is pretty simple (wiring can be tricky)

you most definately can, talk to rallitek, they sell and install AVO turbo kits (in one day if you need). Given you are in puyallup and they are in portland it seems like a good place to go. GOOD LUCK and ENJOY
