Thinking about buying an R.32 GT-R

I got $30k-$35k to spend on my next car. Thinking about getting an R.32 Skyline GT-R V.spec. What do you guys think? Worth it or not?

That's a lot of money for an old car, even if it is a Skyline.

Did u find one already? That's a lot of money for a R32. I seen some go for $20,000. Plus u can't insure it like a regular car. It's considered a grey market car.

If it's in good condition and has low milage, I say get it, but don't spend more than 30k on it. And make sure you can have it registered.

I'm sure the R32 is a great car. I'm not really that technically knowledgable about them, but why don't you just get an STi and mod it. I'd just be much more inclined to get a new car myself. Maybe that's just me.

Cool R32

The R32 is lighter and quicker than the 33, but is older and harder to purchase in origainal condition. 30 k is to much, considering in Australia we can get them for 20 - 26k. Depending on condition.

Peace

There are two of them here in Scottsdale, both owned by a local tuner shop. If you want a car that will make other Japanese car enthusiasts roll around on the ground in a strange mixture of agony and pleasure, that's the car. However, anyone who doesn't recognize the historical significance of the car (and the trouble you go through to make it US legal) will think it is just another ugly Japanese car...

I don't think it's worth it to put 35K on a 10 yr old car
i thought about buying a supra before I got my wrx, but I realized that I don't really want to buy a 10yr old car with $25K and spend $10K to get it back to shape.........Unless you own a shop or something...

they arent hard to find or insure, motorex does all the importation and legal stuff so its just like buying any other car, its just insured as a really expensive 240sx special edition or something, since the skyline was never officially sold here, it is insured under the car that it shares a platform with.
