I just discovered a new, incredibly lazy and ghetto method of washing my WRX and I thought I would share it with all of you. Share your own stories of incredibly lazy wash techniques!

1) get a bottle of paint-safe wheel cleaner (I use Simple Green Automotive) and a bottle of oil-based tire shine (I use Meguiar's NXT)

2) Find a brushless auto-wash like they often have behind gas stations; it must have the low-angle jets that clean your wheels -- choose one near a highway!

3) Cue up and get the $6.00 wash

4) Just before you go in, jump out and hit all four wheels with the wheel cleaner

5) After you come out, drive the car to a safe spot and park it. Hit all four wheels with the tire shine (spray right over the water on the wheels, the shine is oil-based and will still soak in)

6) Take the car straight out on the highway and drive for ten minutes!

I did this yesterday and the car looks awesome.
