Colin McRae won his WRC championship with Subaru in a two door.

i'd hve to dissagree ^

If you look at the past two years, the wrc has been dominated by cars that are substantially smaller than the suby. The 206 is the smallest and no one even came close to touching that car last year. Of course Marcus had something to do with that. This year the new focus, again smaller than the suby, has all the makeings of the car to beat in the year to come. Scoda even did their homework and downsized in order to become more competative. I am sure that the engineers at Subaru are doing what they can to get a competative car for burns and solburg to campain next year. What about a 2 door wagon? hummmmm

it'd be nice to see a WRX coupe on the market here. the new Skoda, the focus and the 206 are all hatchback style bodies though, and i don't think a Subaru would look right as a hatch...

I think those are called hatch backs. For the record, I'm a big fan of the hatch back.

hatchbacks are super practical, and a great idea. i just can't imagine subaru building one....it would just be odd.

Has anything ever emerged from the rumors of Mitsubishi building a new WRC car based on their little Colt hatchback?

BTW, Subaru does build hatchbacks, they just don't sell them here.

Justy!

Out of curiosity, why would anything from Subaru be considered odd? This is the company that has put everything from the Brat/Baja to the Justy to the SVX!

Peugeot is replacing the 206 with the BIGGER 307. And Mitsubishi will NOT be racing the Colt in the WRC, they decided to stay with the Lancer.
