Subaru STI vs. Camaro SS

Well at the track this weekend i raced a camaro ss with
long tubes
exhust
stage 2 tranny
chip(tune)
373 gears
air induction
built rearend
clutch

i pulled 8 cars on the launch and then by the end it was about half a car
Afterwards he told me that he spun off the line which is a bunch of crap but i was just seeing if you guys would know more about camaros than i do.
He put down about 360whp and i put down 300whp
another question do you guys think that if he had better tires would have beaten me??

haha, well when some people see this that know more about drag racing and the potential of a camaro, they'll be able to tell you if thats what he should have run or if he did fubar the launch.

also, there is an "edit" button incase you forget to add something to a post

runs pretty well on the street. Monterey is pretty much at sea level and has nice cool, non humid air that the car loves I got a protune for the Cobb AP. The AP lets you have up to 10 maps on the unit itself (you can juggle maps with the computer and AP if for some reason you have more than 10 maps) and the protune is a custom tune rather than using the Cobb maps.

You got a 12 flat with the stock turbo? Daaaaaamn!

Wouldn't the Camaro be on your time slip? And if so, wouldn't you be able to look at his reaction time, 1/8 mile time, etc. to see if he did get a slow start?

No, the Camaro wouldn't be on his timeslip, because he's full of sh*t. Not to mention, a timeslip doesn't list that many numbers on it. If you run a 9 second 1/4 mile, you'll get 9.xxx. If you run a double digit 1/4 mile, you'll get for example, 12.xxx.

My favorite part is how he "pulled 8 cars." I guess he had someone leaning off the trunk with a tape measure to measure those "8 cars." And then by the end of the race the Camaro was right on his ***? Hmmmm!

He's clearly a poser.
