STi vs. Cobra
I know that HotRod Magazine did an article on the STi vs. Cobra. Does anyone have a link to it so I can finally read it? I have surfered the web and can not seem to find it anywhere. Any help is appreciated.

Just curious why do you want to see how they compare? there totally different cars. its the same thing i tell the mustang guys when they try and compare the wrx/sti to a mustang, there two totally different cars there not worth comparing.

I completely agree that they are totally different cars made for 2 different customers. I want to put that up front so there are no confrontations. I just heard there was an article out that compared the two and wanted to see what it said. I also heard the Cobra ran some rediculously slow times and wanted to see.
I love both cars, got a WRX because you can drive it in all seasons, better insurence, and I like the build quality of subaru.
But with all that is said stock to stock, about the same, drag race edge mustang, road race STI.
Cobra + drag radials + Pully swap = bu bye
Mustangs also have probalby the best aftermarket followings. You can get anything from anyone, you don't just have one choice for a part. We can only get internals from a few comanies, their are probably welll over 100 companies that make quality cams, pistons, rods, cranks...... for mustangs. That is another great thing about them.
But Beating the pants off one in a 4 cylender is pricless!!!

Yeah I have to completely agree with that. I just bought an STi and have yet to race a Cobra. I will be the first to admit that there are many modded snakes in my area and I will probably get bet a few times before I win one. But the satisfaction I will get out of beating a car with twice as many cylinders as I do just over weighs any dissatisfaction I may have for the car. I read all this smack on the STi and its kind of disheartening that people just can admit that it's a good car. I'll admit, Cobras are badass and so are Evos. There! I said it. People need to give credit where credit is due. I wouldn't be concerned with a Cobra if they drove like a Kia but I know they don't so I do my research.

Mustangs and Wrx's are awsome cars, i am into both and am on both boards. Cobra's are beast with little mods. my dad has a saleen and mine can handle way better ( RSB, endlinks, springs, tires ) but in the straits or big open turns his willl eat the suby alive, the sheer power in that thing is insane. But both cars are really awsome, any mustang not just the cobras. I dont know where it is but i have read that article and i think there were about even.
