STI v.s. S2000
I ordered a STI and probably can get it within july.......but suddenly in my mind has a conflict btw a STI and a S2k.....
i dont know if i will regret if i really buy the sti or s2k. I drove my fd's s2k couple days ago, it's fun to drive but not enough power.
So, can u guys give me some suggestion?

IMO, the STi is way cooler but... I'm 32 and married with 2 kids. The 4 doors tell me "I can fit my 2 child seats in the back occasionally".
If I were younger (unmarried, childless, still in college, etc) I would probably choose the S2K as I've noticed it is more babe magnet material.

The incessant buzzing of the 2.0 VTEC engine at freeway speeds gets VERY OLD... REAL QUICK. Here's another scenario: Throw an exhaust (any exhaust will do) on an S2000 and then shift each gear at redline... it's like revving a high powered chainsaw an inch a way from your head. Added to the fact the local authorities will be able to hear you coming from miles away. Oh yeah, and I like having the use of my eardrums after I turn 30 =). STI all the way for me bro!

Maybe I'm deaf, but I've heard a few S2000's go by at highway speeds, and they seemed as quiet as any other Honda. Unless, the guys I heard just weren't flogging the cars too hard.
Of course, I wasn't in the cars, so that might be a whole different story.

My opinion pretty much mirrors everyone else's. The STi is the way to go. With all the dealer markups aside, they're priced very similarly, but the STi offers more hp and torque virtually throughout the entire powerband, more driveablity for daily use, multi-purpose flexibility (street, strip, track, autocross, rain, dirt, snow, etc., although you may want to switch tires for the last two), better acceleration, and seating for five, among other things. Sure, the S2000 does have the go-kart-like handling as well as the chick-magnet abilities, but that's it. But if I could change something about the STi, I would change the rear wing to something like the carbon-fiber one found on the S202 STi. I don't care if the stock STi wing is functional, it's not the best looking wing out there. If you really cared about total functionality, then you'd be driving a Toyota Prius.

an s2000 is like 16x torque or something...an STi is 300...the STi is great in bad weather(where do you live?)..who knows..maybe you'll find a chick who knows cars if you buy the STi...maybe..maybe she'll even have a gc8 or something...hmmm...buy the STi and lets see if im right...anyway test drive the s2000...if you like it then give it some thought...if you find the torque is too lttle forget about it(how could you live with a car like htat?)...oh and the STi has MUCH more power stock and more potential too...plus you wouldnt wanna leave i-club and have to post on honda forums, would you?...
