Bought it as my first new car. Loved the looks, loved the power.

 

I think we all know why we buy the STi. Cause it's fastar.

 

I brought the car because my 89 MR2 SC stalled on the 1st day of my son school opening, beside the STi looks very cool.

 

I've wanted a impreza since the 2.5rs sedans came out, loved the fogs! then the wrx came out and I saw the liberal kit on the wagon. I was sold...started saving money and next thing you know the sti was introduced. had to have it!

 

I bought my 05 STi because I love the power of the car, acceleration is like no other I have driven before, handling and my first sports car ever.

 

I got it cuz I loved the WRX when it first came out. That sales guy made the mistake of telling me that the STi would be brought over. So I waited. I love the JDM HID's for the 02/03 so I'm thinking of doing a swap. hehe

 

I would buy one because of all the reasons stated but most importantly because of the WRC... Yeah, I too love to watch it !!!.. lol

No. I bought mine because it has ok power, AWD so I can drive it year round in all weather conditions, great safety rating, and 4 doors so that I can carry my kids, and a good suspension. I'm a performance minded driver and need a car like this on a daily basis. I'm use to having 400whp on tap so 245 to the wheels is just 'ok' (actually it feels pretty slow to me) except for 1st gear.

It was just one of the many reason that contributed to my decision of buying a WRX...of course I had 3 years to come up with (lots of) reasons, from the time I decided I'll get one (summer of '01) to the time I had the means to (fall of '04). :]

I am a huge fan of the WRC though, and I seriously hope Petter Solberg can repeat his performance of a couple years ago and beat out that damn Loeb and his Xsara.

 

Last time I took my STi in there was a note made that the underside had a lot of red dirt on it. Hmmm.... Wonder how that got there? ;-)

 

colin mcrae! i used to watch him on wrc and then solberg. I would love to rally my car... too bad i dont want to mess up my car
