SRT 4 runs 12.9 with $299 upgrade from ATP turbo, MBC, and slicks on 91 oct! w/ Video
3 inch ATP downpipe
3 inch transition race-pipe
Upgraded up pipe
Boost controller at 16 PSI
22" Drag Slicks
Only weight redux is no spare tire
Total price = $299 plus price of slicks and MBC at ATP's website below
ATP SRT 4 Site
Video in MPEG format
Video in WMV format
I wonder what this car will do with the stage 3 upgrade?

i could care less about the neon, but certian things don't add up. for example, the crappy video that does not show the times on the board at the end of the track, and the lack of the full picture of the timeslip. i've been in the import scene since 1993 i've seen it all, i put nothing past companies trying to be the first one on the market to have some fastest car reputation, to be the one to go to for the upgrades on a new car, that gives you a huge advantage in the market even if you really aren't that fast.
personally i think it is a load. no way can it do 12's running 16psi with no juice, or without being stripped down to nothing (plus no lsd ?)

Ok, this dyno graph is @ 14 PSI
But the SRT was @ 16 PSI
WHEN YOU HAVE 289.9 TORQUE @ 3000 RPM, THAT TENDS TO HELP YOUR ET A LITTLE BIT (REMEMBER THIS IS AT 14 PSI, NOT 16)
The stock ECU will retard the spark without modificiation even with a MBC. Remember, on the time slip, it is a 1.808 60 ft. which is really good as well. If you don't think the car can do it, fine, but I believe that it can. You have the right to your own opinion so I won't tread on you, only try to convince you.

The vette won you can see the the win lightlights up on the side the vette is on. With that said the SRT-4 running 12.9 is preety damn impressive like it or not. Still not a fan though.

I don't understand how it's that hard to believe. For one, I think it's obvious that the SRT-4's main problem in terms of performance is initial traction. The stock 6-inch tires aren't doing anything for the monstrous torque, and these 22x8x15 inch slicks ATP added are what gave it what it needed to get a 1.8 60-foot. However, the 6-inch tires did help the SRT-4 launch stock to 60 mph in 5.6-5.8 seconds, which is just a bit slower than the WRX.
Yes, the Vette won you can see the lights, and yes the SRT-4 did have a redlight .393 reaction time, and it looks like that Vette was burning off some Big-Mac's before it got into shape towards the end. But then if you think about it, if it did have a bad launch, then you'd think it'd be hard for the Vette to beat a redlighted 12.9 ET. The Vette must've had some mods as well, I wouldn't doubt it.
Even though it's known that the SRT-4 has an aggressive ECU, which robs the fuel timing to compensate to keep the output at the set HP, people with EBC's running 16 PSI say it does indeed pull much hard, and as most mods on the SRT-4 thus far shown on the dyno-graph, the HP doesn't increase much, but the torque skyrockets.
So the 3" exhaust, with the extra 2 PSI for added torque, plus traction, will give you this result.
P'ah!

So what's the big deal? Give me a WRX, Vishnu Stage 1, a new clutch and the same slicks and *poof* you got a 12 second WRX. If you're gonna be a troll, do it right. Right Ed?
