Why are you guys so anti nascar? I don't like it either but some people do. Why call it trash if you don't know that much about it. Do you think making left turns requires no skill? I agree that they need more variety. I am not flaming just want to know why everyone here is anti-nascar.

NASCAR sucks. The aerodynamic limitations they put on the cars makes the bodies nearly identical. No car bears any resemblance whatsoever to the production car it's supposedly based on (i.e. a rear wheel drive, carburated V8 Ford Taurus?). The tracks are all banked ovals. Of all the types of racing I could watch, I'd put NASCAR among the most boring. WRC is the only racing that interests me, and thanks to Speed Channel, I no longer watch that. I don't enjoy watching a race that's over a week old and that I already know the results of. Speed Channel sucks nearly as much as NASCAR.

It's all about the benjis baby

If you think about it most businesses that cater to rednecks do quite well. Here's a few ideas: NASCAR for starters, professional wrestling, chewing tobacco???, Busch Beer (among others) -- who drinks Busch... the list goes on and on...

I can't explain it but it seems that these redneck industries are depression and recession proof!

So go Figure, those of us that want to watch turbo charge AWD cars drift around cliff side corners in exotic locations the world over are in the minority compared to the teeming masses that will sit in the hot sun to watch a bunch of the same car floor it and turn left for 3 hours.

Sorry, this post got me going and I had to vent.

NASCAR

i was flipping through channels last night and passed some rally racing, it was on espn, and not on off hours, maybe like 8pm. i dont remember the last time i saw anything i was interested in playing on espn, i am wondering if this is a new thing they are doing, or if it was a one time glitch.

woohoo rally was on last night for 1 hour, it was on at 10-11pm at least one thing i watched this month. i pay $5 extra a month to get speed channel and i get to watch 1 hour of rally, is that really worth it?
