The good shows are on the weekends at night. Thats when they show WRC and F1 and stuff. All the rest of the time it serves as Fox's trash can for NASCAR ****. It used to be a good channel until Fox bought it and shat on it. Oh well. Now i just find friends who have it and watch it at their place.

y the heck would they buy a channel and play dumb-o-nascar on it? do they fell like it's a moral obligation or something? does anyone actually watch nascars? and i'm suprised at how many nascar races there are and they r playing it all week long
Why are you guys so anti nascar? I don't like it either but some people do. Why call it trash if you don't know that much about it. Do you think making left turns requires no skill? I agree that they need more variety. I am not flaming just want to know why everyone here is anti-nascar.

its one thing for them to play an encore presentation of the race the day after the event for those who couldn't catch it, but they've recently been playing the 1985 daytona 500 and other decade and a half old races. whats up with that? why don't they put it on a speed channel "classics" channel like espn did. i hate nascar, but i'll put up with the current race season. these "classic" races really **** me off though.

If you think about it most businesses that cater to rednecks do quite well. Here's a few ideas: NASCAR for starters, professional wrestling, chewing tobacco???, Busch Beer (among others) -- who drinks Busch... the list goes on and on...
I can't explain it but it seems that these redneck industries are depression and recession proof!
So go Figure, those of us that want to watch turbo charge AWD cars drift around cliff side corners in exotic locations the world over are in the minority compared to the teeming masses that will sit in the hot sun to watch a bunch of the same car floor it and turn left for 3 hours.
Sorry, this post got me going and I had to vent.

nascar related industries might be what's on top of the curve now, but i think import related industries would be the wave of future. ameria's auto industry is totally defeated by the joint effort of Germens and Japanese. america's auto industry has nothing new going on except the cadilac cts. the new wave of retro with thunder bird and mustang just isn't gonna last long. if industries like speed channel could recognize that import related industries are going to be the wave of the future, and capitalize on it, they could make some serious money in the future. it's not just wrc that's on high demand, but also tunning related to bmw and vw are also. they simply would just have to set thiers eyes on the future insted of playing the marry-go-around nascar.

oddly enough toyota is wanting to capitalize on our redneckism. there already running a "celica"(thats an even further stretch than a taurus) in the busch series. i think in the near future they will be running in winston cup.
has it occured to anyone else that the show Nascar Tech is the most blatant oxymoron ever created. sure its nascar, where the hells the tech? tube frame, carboratuer, solid rear axle, 4 speed transmission, hhmmm, sounds captivating.

I happen to like NASCAR and ALL forms of racing. If someone was racing grocery carts with 350's in the parking lot I'd watch. However their is such a thing a to much and Speed Channel has way to much NASCAR. Legends, Tech, Tonight, Reruns, Classic reruns, reruns of the reruns(no joke), trucks, ASA, Goodies. Fox ruined the best channel ever created.
i was flipping through channels last night and passed some rally racing, it was on espn, and not on off hours, maybe like 8pm. i dont remember the last time i saw anything i was interested in playing on espn, i am wondering if this is a new thing they are doing, or if it was a one time glitch.

Toyota is getting into the truck series next year and Nissan the next year. There are 2 road courses in Nascar that arent banked ovals. I really like all racing, Nascar is great when you are there at the track... that was how I started liking it.. I thought it was dumb before I went to a race. Cool thunder when all the cars go by like when you see a Top fuel Dragster run.. All that sound and smell is great for an auto enthusiast. All that horsepower X 43 cras is really cool in person
woohoo rally was on last night for 1 hour, it was on at 10-11pm at least one thing i watched this month. i pay $5 extra a month to get speed channel and i get to watch 1 hour of rally, is that really worth it?
