hey i just booked a new 04 subaru from my local dealer today. was eye-ing on that car for quite a time now. and i've got a bit of question here, most of my buddy says that evo can really outperform a subaru and they even showed me a vid from topgear that shows exactly that. so is there generally any site that shows review of subaru is better than the evo? you know, just to keep their mouth shut for a while. thanks for replying

You would have to compare the STI to the EVO not just the WRX.

 

stock STi has more power from factory but stock Evo will outhandle an STi. They are remarkably close in speed and handling and the issue of "which is better" has been beaten to death. It's really a matter or prefrence when it comes down to it.

 

Well the EVO gets a 2 star or "poor" crash rating, and the Impreza got a 5 star. Basically, the evo is a pimped out $12,000 base pile of doodoo.
