shifting
The only manual cars I've driven are my 01 tiburon, a 93 integra, and a 94 integra gs-r. My car shifts with little force, but the distance is fairly long in comparison to the integra's. Shifting in the integras required more force but the throws were shorter.
Anyways, I plan on getting a wrx before long and i was wondering how the shifting compares to either car, preferably the tiburon.

i might be able to help on this one. The WRX is ging to shift somewhere in the middle of the GSR and the Tib. Ive driven both and if i remember right the Tib had a really long throw from gear to gear but was really easy to move. The GSR and my DelSol VTEC have nearly identicle trannys one thing I can say for hondas is that they didn't do cheap in the parts they used in the tranny. They disnt use a cable for the B-series tranny but instead used a shaft which gave you really good feed back but made it so you had to put a little more muscle behind your shifts. The WRX's tranny dosent have as long of a throw as the Tib does but not at short and stiff as the GSR.
You could always find out for yourself too and just go to a dealer or ask almost any WRX owner the check it out. We usually are pretty friendly.

I have a dealer installed short throw shifter on mine. I don't remember how much extra it was, but there is a big difference between the car I test drove and the car I own. It is farly short, and the gear box is tight. I believe there are aftermarket short through kits as well.
