I know what you mean. Those wings are just great looking. I know they have similar wings on cars around here....however, none of them sport it like an EVO or an STi does. Those wings look great on the WRX too. It completes the car

the wrx sti is claiming 300hp and 300 ft-lb, but from what i have read that is crankshaft power. the evo8 is putting 271hp to the wheels. i think typical drivetrain loss is between 15 and 20 percent, that puts wheel power below the evo8's. just a comment

Funny, I have it sitting in my lap, and I could swear they say nothing except that they're mad they couldn't drive one and posted a bunch of numbers that we've already seen. It's simply numbers and advertising. No manufacturer is going to advertise using wheel hp when they can declare a much higher hp at the crank. This is especially the case with close "race" between the Evo 8 and the STi.

Just read the SCC article... http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/fe...303scc_lancer/
The article doesn't say anything about whether it's at the crank or at the wheels. Manufacturer claims typically apply to crank rather than wheel output. If this thing was putting 271HP to the wheels, that'd be about 315 at the crank. If that were the case, Road & Track should have run this car through the 1/4 mi in about 13 flat. Their numbers tend to be on the slow side, but even R&T would have done better than 5.1/13.8 if it were 271 at the wheels.
