reverse on a STi?
I was wondering how the reverse was on the sti since its a 6 speed. My cousin has a 2005 VW Golf, 5 speed, and the reverse is next to 1 not below the 5 and when you want to reverse you have to push the whole shifter down and put it into gear so you wont mistake it for first. I think its a really good idea, is it like this on the STi??

The reverse on the STi is next to the 6th gear. If you are in first, you have to pull it down to neutral, all the way to the right, pull up a ring (for safety), and then it will go to the reverse gear which is a little more to the right and down. |-|-|-, its where the comma is.
it's actually not a safety lock out.
it's made so that it doesn't feet knotchy when going from 5 to 6
the way manual transmission works it's impossible to put the gear in reverse when moving forward
