i always liked the term car club. it just sounds more professional. crew doesnt sound as "serious," i'm not really sure how else to put it.

ichiban is actually a Hong Kong based company that sells both Japanese and Chinese snacks and cookies. They have branch locations all over the world; New York City, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and now in San Gabriel, California. Good luck with the club

Yeah but you have to admit it's still kind of funny that it is on noodles and stuff.

nandeyannen?! koitsumo, doitsumo, ichiban ga tsukau. ora ichiban no kotoba metcha metcha tsumanai to omou na~~.
The Japanese word "Ichiban" has to be THE most overused Japanese word by non-Japanese speakers. It's so trite, it's so un-JDM, it makes Doumo-kun cry!
Why not come up with a more original name yeah? Maybe "Muteki Heisei Kai"(hehehe) or "21 Seki Shinsengumi" (bwahaha), or if you're big on the '80s cars, "Showa Supiido Kingusu". Or if you want to expand into the Bay Area, why not "Hama no Inu" (kekeke)
Anyway, not to rag or anything... It's just that with a name like Projekt (with a "k"?!) Ichiban, it'll be hard to be taken seriously.

Buddy, the word "ichiban" in Japanese is just the word for "number one". That Hong Kong company you're thinking of doesn't own the word, nor did it invent the word
For example: "hai, ichiban no sh1tsumon wo kotaete kudasai." means "Please answer answer question number one."
It can also be used like so: "watashi wa nihonjin no onna ha sekai no naka ni ichiban kirei da to omoimasu." which means "I think that Japanese girls are the most pretty (lit. number one pretty) in all the world."
Having said that, try to translate this one: "omae ga kono kurabu no naka ni ichiban aho da." Japanese speakers, feel free to assist him

Geez Greg, no wonder I had so much trouble trying to make sense of what you said in that second line lol (I see that you like shoyu a lot though haha)
Maybe I should start an OT thread: Choku Dori's Weekly Japanese Lessons... hmmm
